Am I willing to accept you into our herd, as you are, as you want to be, or do I place an expectation upon you, that you alone carry?
Four special souls found their way to me, coming as one herd, to a newcomer in heartfelt presence. Now a choice to be made…to welcome an other because of promises of bareback, ease and gentle nudges of freedom, or to welcome her because she is welcome.
Sigh. I have been looking for a fix, an instant way to become a bareback rider, with out consideration. Unlike me, and it stands out.
And the others? They wonder where my consideration is for them…a bar perhaps too low on the trust and ease and gentle nudges to freedom of their own.
Looking for safe and gentle, for the young girls whose spirits cry for horse. Is this the right message for them? Climb aboard and expect to be safe and taken care of? Perhaps wiser to stay grounded and along side, with awareness, presence and deliberate choice. Which is the truer freedom?
